Scorpio New Moon

bring truth to light

New moon in scorpio

november 13th

1:27am (pst)

Hi friends,

Just as we think things couldn’t get more intense in the world, here is intensity-loving Scorpio season. While Scorpio does love the drama, Scorpio energy also loves truth, no matter how buried or taboo it might be. And truth is a big theme with this upcoming new Moon in Scorpio on November 13th, 2023.

IT’S ALL ABOUT SCORPIO

And that’s often how Scorpio likes it too ;-)

Scorpio loves the dramatic, taboo, and transformative. Scorpio energy is vibrant, curious, intuitive, empathetic, and empathic as well. On the shadow side, Scorpio energy can get possessive, jealous, and manipulative.

Scorpio energy loves diving deep into life in order to discover what is hidden and bring it to light.

Scorpio is a finder of truth.

New Moons represent new beginnings and this Scorpio new Moon wants us to be open to discovering new truths, and to allow for the freedom that comes when we let ourselves change our minds. This is extremely important at a time when we’re being presented with lots of changing information. Being in control of our own thoughts and beliefs, liberates us from those who seek to control, overwhelm and divide us through propaganda and disinformation.

On the personal level, this Scorpio new Moon invites us into a greater connection with our own truth and asks us to liberate our minds by accepting new truths. On the collective level, this lunation influences our willingness to accept the diversity of subjective truths along with the necessity for shared human objective Truths, too.

the thing about truth…

When speaking about truth, I think it’s important to differentiate between big “T” Truth - those universal laws and objective facts of our current reality and social codes vs. little “t” truths, meaning subjective truths, or each of our lived experiences along with the resonance of authentic honesty within each of us.

It’s also super important to note that more than one differing truths can coexist at the same time because of this diversity of truths within our own experiences. Recognizing that truth can be both objective and subjective keeps us out of binary and dualistic thinking, and helps us respect the complexity and nuance of humanity. When you find yourself falling into traps of dualistic, and all-or-nothing, thinking when dealing with situations that are complex and filled with subjective truths and context, please know you are in survival mode and more susceptible to mental manipulation by others. All-or-nothing thinking is a mental cage all of its own.

It’s vitally important that we remember this right now, because they are those who are actively (and successfully) manipulating the truth in order to create a whole lot more division at a time when the world desperately needs to come together, united against hatred of any kind. If we avoid this pitfall of all-or-nothing, and us vs. them thinking, we remember our shared humanity and ground back into our values.

So how can we tell what is true and what is not in this age of too much information? Well there are many ways including checking sources and verifying information with other reputable sources. And in times of war, when propoganda flourishes, verifying and checking sources is vitally important. It’s also beneficial to seek alternate views from your own as well, in order to know and understand other points of view. Another way is to look for coalition building, which is all about bringing together diverse, and even opposing, groups to reach a common goal. Because subjective truths are meant to enhance objective truths not tear them down or deny others of their own truths.

The Scorpio new Moon urges us to bring truth to light, to ground into what we know is true while staying open to other’s truths in order to remember the Truth of our shared humanity.

activated mars

Mars, the planet of dominance, aggression and action, is conjunct (or very close to) the new Moon, both in Scorpio, during this lunation. Unfortunately this doesn’t do much to quiet the vehement violence seen across the world.

Yet it can do much to remind us of our own personal power.

With the double intensity of Scorpio and Mars, we are reminded to be aware of our power and how we choose to use it.

Are you using your personal power and subjective truths to enhance our shared humanity, or detract from it? This is an important questions this Moon wants us to reflect upon.

May this Scorpio new Moon help each of us find liberation in our own truths, and may we as a collective remember the Truth of our interconnected humanity.

with infinite love & appreciation,

Rachael
