Moon Water Ritual for the Leo Full Moon

Full Moon in Leo

Hi friends!

If you’re like me, you’ve definitely already been feeling the creative, social, sensual and reflective energies of the upcoming Leo Full Moon! The energy of this full moon pairs well with the love-filled vibes of Valentines Day, which occurs only two days ahead of this stellar lunar illumination. The Leo Full Moon also provides a beautiful window to illuminate our sense of individuality as an integral part of a much larger and greater collective whole.

The Astrological sign of Leo aligns with the Sun and represents the face and light we share with the world - our personality and desire to be seen. Yet the shadow side of Leo represents egoic pridefulness. Leo Full Moons prompt us to reflect on where in our lives’ we’ve allowed pride to block our flow, reminding us that there is a big energetic difference between being proud and being prideful. Leo Full Moon asks us to surrender and release our pride and control, in order to create space within us for changes to occur.

Meanwhile the Sun is still in the freedom loving sign of Aquarius, the sign that represents free-thought and individuality, along with humanitarian desires. This Leo Full Moon asks us to reflect on the ways we balance our individual desires with the desires of those we love, and our greater community.

Here are some journaling Reflection Prompts for this Leo Full Moon:

  • What are you authentically proud of yourself for?

  • Where have you allowed pride and control to cloud your thoughts and actions?

  • How are you showing up as you own unique creative self? How can you express yourself more creatively?

  • How are you showing with you communities to create a collective common goal?

  • What do you stand for and why?

Full Moon Water Ritual

One of my absolute favorite full moon rituals is creating lunar infused moon water! The energies of the moon are infused into your water, and can be used as an energetic boost for you, your plants and much more. Add your beloved crystals to create a grid around your water as you infuse them all with illuminating and magical energies of the Full Moon!

What You Need:

  • a large glass jar with lid

  • a spot, indoor or out, where the jar will be exposed to the light of the Full Moon

  • drinking water (like filtered tap water)

  • Optional: any of your crystals you’d like to charge in the moonlight

What You Do:

  • Begin by physically and energetically cleaning out your glass jar with soap and water, along with clearing the energy with herbal smoke, incense, or a selenite or quartz crystal.

  • Fill your glass jar with water, whispering words of love and appreciation to the water as it flows into the jar.

  • Put your lid on the jar, and as the sun sets place it someplace where it will be exposed to the light of the Moon. I create a spot in the middle of my backyard, but you can also set it out on a table on your patio, or on a windowsill as well.

  • Optional: Add some of your crystals around your water jar in intuitive and creative ways. Let the crystals guide you into the design to create around your water jug. Crystals love being changed with the energies of the full moon too!

  • Allow your jar of water to remain out overnight to absorb the lunar rays.

  • The following morning remove the jar and bring it away from the sun. Take a small sip as you whisper words of gratitude.

  • Keep your moon water covered, and out of the sun, and use it for any of your energetic purposes like: hydrating yourself or your plants, creating energetic cleansing sprays with essential oils, added to your cleaning supplies, or any teas or potions your may be brewing!

  • This ritual is best done anytime during the 3-day Full Moon Portal (day before, day of and day after the full moon).

I hope you enjoy this simple and high vibrational way to connect with Nature’s magic and love!

with gratitude,

Rachael
